Suffolk latch
|
Suffolk latch... a handle and latch widely used on ledge-and-brace doors, any thickness, left-hung or right.
The 'standard' is nailed or screwed to the door with fixing points top and bottom. The latch assembly has a lifter and pivot pin, with a rectangle bar (staple) hammered into the back face of the door and a spike keeper hammered into a pilot hole in the door lining edge.
We offer a range of extras and alternatives:
- side keeper, forged or cast, fixed to face of door lining
- Lifter knob in brass or iron, replacing curved lever
- Reverse keeper, enabling the latch to be mounted on either side of the door.
- Locking pin, to hold the latch down, eg in bathroom (unlockable from outside)
